Become a Certified Energologist℠

Anyone may enroll at any time, and there are no prerequisite requirements. Prospective students under the age of 18 require the written permission of parents or guardians. We reserve the right to refuse entrance to the program to any individuals at any time.

While the Energology Institute℠ does not certify people per se, we do “certify” graduates to use the terms, ‘Energology℠’ and ‘Energologist℠’ to describe themselves and what they practice. When you have completed the coursework, the training, and all requirements of the program, we will provide a wall diploma and wallet card that show that you completed a rigorous training program in Energology℠.

The online Professional Energologist℠ training program is designed to allow students to learn at their own pace. Typically, students complete the online Professional Energologist℠ program in three months for “full time” students, and up to one year for “part-time” students. For some students, it may take longer. There is no deadline by which the work must be completed. Please note that the program does require some “live” training with a certified instructor from the Energology Institute℠. This can typically be completed over a video-call platform such as Skype, Zoom, FaceTime, etc., or in person when available, and depending on which package you sign up for, may be included in the price of the training program.

Lengths of time vary to complete the Master Energologist℠ and Grandmaster Energologist℠ programs as well.

We offer many program options. These include on-campus programs, distance-learning programs, online learning programs, immersion programs, dual programs, hybrid programs, and bespoke private programs. The coursework is designed to be easy for anyone to learn. The founder of Energology℠, Hovey Williams, is a certified teacher, a licensed counselor in private practice, and a professional writer. He understands how the human brain works, and how people acquire knowledge. He spent over 20 years writing all the textbooks for the courses, and is responsible for delivering the majority of the curriculum.

We do offer the latest scientific discoveries in energy healing research which helps validate the practice and ground it in bioscience. However, the science-related studies are not technical or difficult. They can be undertaken without any previous college studies in the sciences, and they represent a minority of the coursework in the program.

In the Professional Energologist℠ and Master Energologist℠ programs there is no study of physical anatomy, the hard sciences, or mathematics. The study of energy anatomy (chakras, etc.) is required, as this is essential to the practice of Energology℠.

In the Grandmaster Energologist℠ program (the third and highest level of training) some medical-type courses are required such as anatomy studies, pathophysiology, clinical science, etc.

Put most simply, the Professional Energologist℠ and Master Energologist℠ training programs are relatively easy and accessible, while the Grandmaster Energologist℠ program contains some more challenging coursework that will require significant effort and study.

Graduates may refer to themselves as the trademarked name of Energologist℠. They may also call themselves a Professional Energologist℠, as there are three levels of training—Professional Energologist℠, Master Energologist℠, and Grandmaster Energologist℠. Other options are to refer to oneself as a professional energy healer, or simply as an energy healer.

No. We do not offer a college degree. The Energology Institute℠ awards a diploma stating your completion of the rigorous program of study in Energology℠.

While it is possible to offer a non-accredited degree, we prefer not to do this, as it can be problematic for many of our students who already have degrees in other areas such as medicine, nursing, psychology, physical therapy, etc. People with degrees from an accredited institution are often prohibited by their professions to claim additional degrees from unaccredited universities, whereas, a diploma may be claimed by anyone. This works better for those students who are already involved in the healthcare industry.

We also have many students who have not attended college, and they do very well in our programs as well. Compared with college degree programs, our training program does not require “gen-eds” (general education courses), which normally take two years to complete before you can even get into your core area study. The Energology Institute℠ allows you to focus right away on the study of energy healing.

Rather than awarding degrees such as Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate, we offer three Energology℠ diplomas for the Professional, Master, and Grandmaster Energology℠ programs.

Since “doctor” is a title derived from a graduate degree (e.g., ‘medical doctor’), we do not use the term “doctor.” However, our diploma for Grandmaster Energologist℠ is similar to getting a doctorate in energy healing. In the Western model, one gets the masters degree, and then later becomes a doctor. We feel the Asian model makes more sense for our program—where one becomes a doctor, and after many more years of experience, is called a master. Therefore, in the Energology℠ system, you become a professional healer first (akin to a doctor), then with additional training, you become a master energy healer. Those students who go on to complete the highest level of training are referred to as Grandmaster Energologists℠. In the Energology field, Grandmasters are specialists. We award three diplomas: Professional Energologist℠, Master Energologist℠, and Grandmaster Energologist℠.

Licenses are awarded by the government. Since energy healing is not regulated by the government, there are no licenses available at this time.

No. Unlike in other energy healing systems, Energologists℠ do not physically touch their clients. The transfer of energy does not require physical touch. Being touch-free offers many benefits, including enabling the Energologist℠ to perform distance healing. This enables Energologists℠ to work from home, and offer their healing services to clients anywhere in the world, without the energologist℠ or clients traveling for the healing sessions.
